What's the difference between Monthly, Annual and Biannual?
The features are identical across all three plans — the only difference is the billing cycle and the price.
Annual works out to $2.33/mo (41% cheaper than Monthly).
Biannual is a one-time payment of $47.99 for 2 years, with no auto-renewal at all.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes. You can upgrade (e.g. from Monthly to Annual) or downgrade at any time
from your dashboard. The amount is prorated automatically by Stripe.
How does BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) work?
Available on every plan. You connect your OpenAI or Groq key
directly to ZapVox. The key is encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stored only in your browser
— ZapVox never sees it. On Free, BYOK unlocks translation only. On Pro, it works for every feature.
How does BYOK work on the Free plan?
On the Free plan, if you connect your own OpenAI or Groq key (BYOK), you
unlock automatic translation — paying the API directly, with no cost from ZapVox.
The watermark stays on Free even with BYOK. Summaries and topics are Pro-only.
The key is encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stored only in your browser.
Does the Monthly plan get updates?
Yes. All Pro plans (Monthly, Annual and Biannual) get the same updates
while the subscription is active. New AI models, new languages, new features
— all included at no extra cost.
What's the difference between Free and Pro in practice?
With Free you transcribe up to 10 voice messages per day (up to 15 min of audio/day) in the cloud —
or with no limit using your own BYOK key. Your transcriptions carry
the 🎙️ ZapVox watermark when copying and on AutoSend.
With Pro you go up to 150 cloud operations/day per feature type and up to 150 min of audio/day (fair use),
plus: automatic translation, AI summaries, topic extraction, and the option to remove the watermark.
How many transcriptions per day do I get on Pro?
150 cloud operations per day per feature type and up to 150 min of audio/day (fair use) —
in practice, more than enough for heavy daily WhatsApp use. Counters reset at midnight,
Brasília time. And with BYOK (your own key), it's unlimited on any plan.
On Free it's 10 transcriptions/day and up to 15 min of audio/day; on Trial, 15 operations/day and up to 30 min of audio/day.
Does ZapVox work with WhatsApp groups?
Yes, ZapVox works in one-on-one conversations and in WhatsApp Web groups.
The "Transcribe" button automatically appears on every voice message —
no matter who sent it or in which group.
Are my audios and conversations stored?
No. On every plan, your audio is processed on the fly and never stored.
We never keep the content of your audios or conversations. LGPD (Brazilian GDPR) compliant.

Which languages does ZapVox support?
The AI automatically recognizes more than 99 languages — including English, Portuguese, Spanish,
French, German, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Hindi and Arabic. Translation supports the same languages
as targets. The ZapVox interface is available in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
